Excellent! Truly simple and easy. Did minor modifications - cooked for 3 minutes because I wanted a bit thicker. I added 1/2 cup of half and half as opposed to the 1/4 cup of milk. And..this I think really made it - a pinch of kosher salt. Really delicious and my friends raved over it!
oh my YUM! this is delicious... I switched the milk out for fresh farm heavy cream and just wow!! I used it to make a homemade frappe..and it's better than the ones from local coffee shops! Kudos to the sauce!
Turned out great didn't change anything except using apples from my tree. Also great if you poke holes in it with a fork and pour a Carmel sauce over the top!! Will be making again.
Love this sauce. After reading the reviews I boiled it about 4 minutes and added a scant teaspoon of cornstarch for thickening. What an easy perfect recipe and the best part... It requires ingredients that we probably have on a daily basis.
We used Evaporated milk… Doubled the recipe and It came out amazing. Everyone loves it! Only thing is, I believe this is actually butterscotch sauce. What I have read is that caramel sauce is made with white sugar and butterscotch is made with brown. FYI!
